Indian Telcos add 8.61 million new mobile subscribers in May Telecom Tiger, June 20, 2008: India's telecom operators have added a total of 8.61 million mobile subscribers during May 2008, revealed the data compiled by the Cellular Operators Association of India and Association of Unified Telecom Service Providers of India (AUSPI). Out of the 8.61 million new subscriptions, 6.14 million were added on GSM-based networks and the remaining 1.99 million users were added on CDMA network. The industry closed this month with 272.71 million mobile subscribers, of which 205.46 million were on the GSM network and the other 67.25 million on CDMA. Back
